Radine Budd Ferre, 92, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Life Care Center in Salt Lake City. Radine was born March 16, 1924 to James Hurvey Budd Sr. and Eva Isabel Dangerfield in Taber, Alberta, Canada. She was the youngest of seven children. Her father passed away when she was 22 months old. The family moved back to Salt Lake City when she was only three, and was subsequently raised by her amazing mother with the help of her older siblings.

Radine Budd Ferre, 92, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Life Care Center in Salt Lake City. Radine was born March 16, 1924 to James Hurvey Budd Sr. and Eva Isabel Dangerfield in Taber, Alberta, Canada. She was the youngest of seven children. Her father passed away when she was 22 months old. The family moved back to Salt Lake City when she was only three, and was subsequently raised by her amazing mother with the help of her older siblings.
Married Fred George Ferre Jr. July 8, 1943. Solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1959. Radine and Fred were blessed with three children, Linda Rae, Fred Budd (Rennae), and Randall James (Denise), eight grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Radine and Fred met at graduation exercises at Granite High School. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many positions including ward and stake camp director for many years. She loved the outdoors, enjoying running, hiking, boating, waterskiing, snow skiing, and tennis.
She was employed as a civilian secretary for high-ranking officers during World War II. Later she was secretary and treasurer for Fred's business ventures. She did not retire until she was 87. She was an active member of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) for many years.
Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings Ruth Allen (Leith), Francis Fluehe (Helmuth), George "Judd" (Mary), Gerald (Merle), and James (Margie), Margie being the last surviving of her siblings and spouses. Also preceded in death by her great grandson Matthew Steven Lewis.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 17, 2016 at 12:00 noon at the Canyon Rim Ward Chapel, 3100 East 3000 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. A viewing will be held Sunday, October 16, 2016 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary at 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the wonderful professionals at the Life Care Center of SLC for their kind and loving care of Radine during the past two years.
Radine was a "tough old bird" yet tenderly loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed here, yet welcomed with great joy by her husband, parents, siblings, and friends who have gone before.
