There was a woman at the head of our family and she just wanted everybody to get along - no matter what.

There was a woman at the head of our family and she just wanted everybody to get along - no matter what.

Mom did not fit the mold of anyone you ever met. She was single in a time when it was not right to be single and
she had a photography business when it wasn't a time for a woman to run a business. She entered the mines when men had to be given the day off because they were superstitious about a woman being in the mine.

She loved her friends and her bridge days and she loved her family and she served her husband when times were tough
for him. And she always got up in the morning and put one foot in front of the other and made it all work.

She always saw the brighter side of things and always knew that things would get better.

Damn Vera for going before her time. Mom outlasted them all and saw her friends all gone before her and now it is
her time and damn it mom - we miss you.
