LaDeane Linford de la Cruz Jensen was born February 1, 1933 and passed away October 10, 2016, after a long but courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease,

She was the oldest child born to Iola Moore Linford and Elijah A. Linford. Raised in Provo, Utah, she graduated from Provo High School where she excelled in learning secretarial skills and arts. She worked at the Utah State Hospital for a time as the head secretary to the hospital's administrator. It was there that she met her first husband, Jose de la Cruz.

She and Jose had four sons, Robert Jose, John Karl, Steven Keith and David Marc. Her sons were her greatest joy and they couldn't have had a better mother. Their needs were always before her own.

After Jose's passing LaDeane married Lee R. Jensen who has treated her with great love and kindness and remained by her side during her illness.

LaDeane was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in many capacities including Primary and Relief Society president in the Wilford Ward but her greatest calling was serving a full time mission in the Manchester England Mission with husband Lee. While quietly suffering her fair share of trials in this life she truly endured, faithful to the end.

LaDeane is survived by her husband Lee and his children, her sons, Robert (Jodee), John, Steven (Tawna) and David, grand and great grandchildren, one brother, Joseph R. Linford (Janet), an uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family. Preceded in death by her first husband Jose, parents and sisters, Barbara and Jane.

The family would like to extend sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the families of Eva Lokotui and Kalesita Langi. LaDeane resided in their homes during the last years of her life where she was given loving and professional care and treated as a member of their families as we have been. We are forever grateful!

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 14th 2016 at The Wilford Ward, 3191 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah 84106 at 12:00 noon A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:45 am.
